Sweeten my tea

Endulzar mi té

Sometimes we encounter customers who tell us that their tea tastes bitter or has no flavor. From our perspective, it's a yes, but no—tea, like coffee, is naturally bitter, and many people are accustomed to an excess of sweet flavor, although it seems we reached our peak some time ago, and more and more people are using less sugar. Too much sugar causes our brain to sound an alarm that something is tasteless or unpalatable when we try something that isn't sweet or is bitter. However, people who gradually quit or reduce sugar start to discover new flavors.

If you're used to sugar, you'll find that adding sugar, saccharin, stevia, honey, panela... to your tea will enhance its flavor and make it more enjoyable. Or, for example, black tea, which is often consumed with a splash of milk—that milk is enough to correct some of its natural bitterness.

So, use your favorite sweetener or drink it naturally; everyone has their preferences, and all are welcome, except for the one who adds a shot of alcohol to their tea at eight in the morning—that person has a problem.
