Teytal is a super cute shop in Valencia and a website where we can ship all over Spain. It's a local business, one of those lifelong neighborhood stores.
My name is Carlos, and in November 2011, I made the best decision of my life: I packed a suitcase and moved to Edinburgh. Seven years later, I took the little bit I had saved in Scotland—where my healthy tea addiction comes from—and with a foolproof plan to leave the hospitality industry, I quit the restaurant where I was working and went to work at a pub until five in the morning. How smart of me! But that left my days free for two things: not sleeping and starting Teytal.
That's where it all began, and Teytal is still going strong seven years later. It's a small venture, enough to make ends meet with an adorable baby and go on vacation to visit family at Christmas.
I count on Lucie, an invaluable help in all of this, and the mother of Teytal's newest recruit. As soon as he learns to walk, I'll have him dusting the shop.
We are happy to assist you, answer your questions, and even get to know many of you, as it's been years of orders, chats, and all those lovely things.
From time to time, we'll share more about the day-to-day at Teytal or our boring lives in a diary format, in case anyone has three spare minutes that day and feels like reading it.
